Fashion Muse: Daisy Lowe
Daughter of socialite Pearl Lowe and Gavin Rossdale (Yes, Gwen's Gavin), Daisy Lowe has made a name for herself in the fashion world. Modeling for big couture houses such as Chanel and Burberry and fresh off campaigns for Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton, the soon-to-be-legal Lowe is recognized for her edgy, of-the-moment style and those big brooding eyes. Lowe counts the likes of Agyness Deyn, Taylor Momsen and previous Muse, Georgia Jagger as friends and they no doubt influence her style. She has had her own MTV documentary series in her native UK where she is far more popular, and has just released a jewelry line with Swarovski Crystallised. When her interests include acting and singing on top of modeling, you know this is one girl that's gonna be around.
Casual:
- The foundation of her look is the color black. She usually adds one colorful element like her bag, coat, or top.
- She doesn't wear jewelry much, or at all, based on the pictures. Instead, Lowe chooses to accessorize with trends such as a long skinny scarf.
- She loves black tights, leggings, or pants with her outfits.
Here's my outfits that I put together:
Jacket, Balmain; Tights, Ariana's Boutique; Bag, Marc Jacobs; Boots, Alexander Wang.
Dress, Charlotte Ronson; Jacket, Marc Jacobs; Purse, shoes and bag, Forever 21; Eyeliner, Revlon.
- Lowe experiments with color, fabric, cut, and patterns.
- You can always bet on basic black.
- Still no jewlery.
- Tights go under dresses.
- Black pumps, always.
What I've Got:
Dress, Matthew Williamson for H&M; Pumps, Christian Louboutin; Earrings, Tiffanys; Bag, Alexander Wang.
I love this look so much!! I feel like the dress keeps true to Lowe's style yet is something I would totally wear! The sequins make it party-friendly and yet, you wouldn't look totally awkward on a nice date or some other event. I love the rich color of the earrings and from the side view, the craftsmanship is impeccable! Also, I'm loving the AW coin purse. It's totally BA and it could toughen up a sweet look instantly! The dress is for sure a steal (H&M!) and I would totally save for the bag! The earrings are (Sigh) just a drooller for now.
Dress, 3.1 Philip Lim; Clutch, Chanel; Bootie, Christian Louboutin; Skinny Belts, J. Crew.
This is another look I'm really proud of! The shift dress is too divine and although I'm not very welcome at Barneys yet, hit up the local F21 to score something similar. I belted the shift so as not to lose your figure in it. And the booties are just too adorable! Again, $900+ outta range? F21 is the way to go!
Dress, Chistopher Kane for TopShop; Bag, Marc Jacobs; Heels, Alaia; Watch, Cartier.
My favorite part of the look is the heels! What about you?
Sooooo, whad'ya think? Was this post helpful? Do you like Daisy's style? Would you like to suggest our next Muse? Were there any drool-worthy pieces that caught your eye? Drop a comment and let me know!

What You REALLY Need in Your Bag
New Year, New Purse! If getting a new bag isn't an option, at least clean out your current one! If you are OCD or a minimalist, then you can probably skip this post! For everone else, here's some quick tips on which items to keep (or stock up on) in your bag and which ones to toss!
What to KEEP:
iPhone - Apple; Sunglasses - Ray-Ban; Lip Gloss - Dior; Wallet & Keychain - Coach; Mirror - Juicy Couture.
1. Phone - Self-Explanatory
2. MP3 Player - Pop it out at work or at a workout. It's portable entertainment.
3. Keys - Where else would they be?
4. Wallet - Don't get stuck driving without your license on hand!
5. Sunglasses - Whip 'em out when your driving and outside. They don't take up much room and are so good for your health and looks :)
6. Compact Mirror - When you have nothing to check your teeth in.
7. Lip Gloss - This is really the only makeup you need in your purse. Why carry a big heavy makeup bag? You should have done it at home!
If You'd Like:
- Put some bobby pins and hair-ties in a little plastic bag (or Altoids tin!) for those impromtu bad-hair days.
- If your the 'meet new people, exchange business cards' type, then by all means, keep a stash in a presentable case.
- If you travel a lot for work, keeping your passport in hand may be a good idea.
What to TOSS:
1. Loose change/small bills - Scoop them out from the depths of your bag and keep them in a jar at home instead. BONUS: This is the money your more likely to spend - no one wants to break a twenty for a snack. At the end of the month, take out the change and treat yourself. Better yet, turn them into twenties and keep on saving!
2. Old Makeup - If your whole makeup bag (including that two-year old lipgloss you promise you will use ... sometime) is rotting in your purse, it's time to take it out. Gross fact: in a recent survey, one in four women's hangbags was carrying E. Coli. Ew. Do you want to be putting that on your face?
3. Receipts - Put them in a box at home instead. At places you frequent (Starbucks, etc.), you really don't need one. Tell them no receipt to save your bag and the environment!
4. Candy/Gum wrappers - Why are they even in your bag in the first place?
Did you like this article? Were there any items that I missed in either list? Did you take out anything from my "Toss" list from your purse? Tell me what you think in the comments! Anyone can do it, you don't even need an account!

Fashion Muse: Georgia May Jagger
At only 17, Mick's baby girl is already enchanting the fashion industry. Fresh off campaigns for Hudson Jeans and Rimmel London, Jagger will make her haute couture debut with a Versace S/S10 campaign.
The name Jagger already has fashion credentials -Georgia's mother Jerry Hall and sister Lizzie are both successful models. Signed to London's Independent agency, Georgia is known for her chic, distinctly London street style.
